My fitness goals for 2017

I have always said that I will get fitter and eat cleaner at the start of each year, but I never fully stick to it. For the past 3 years I have been a member of my local gym and I have ate much healthier than I used to but this year I am determined to get my body in the shape that I really want it to be. I find it quite hard to stick to resolutions, especially when I haven't shared them with anyone, so I decided to write a blog post and start all of these fitness goals from tomorrow; in order to know what I need to do to achieve my goals.

So here are my fitness goals/resolutions for 2017:

1. EAT AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE

I have always loved my healthy food but I also have a huge love for takeaway; like Mcdonald's, Chinese and Indian. I want to make sure that I am aware of how good the food is that i'm putting into my body and I want to try my hardest to limit the takeaways to special occasions.

2. EAT MORE FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

Honestly, I am much more of a carbs lover. However, this year I want to limit the carbs and eat more fruit and vegetables. At the moment I barely eat 2 portions of fruit&veg a day so I want to try to eat my 5 a day.

3. DRINK MORE WATER

I usually have a lot of water but I want to make sure that i'm drinking at least 8 glasses a day. While i'm out I need to make sure that I stay hydrated and while i'm at school. I drink a glass of green tea every night but I want to try to have a glass with my breakfast as well as dinner.

4. EAT SMALLER PORTIONS

This is one of the hardest resolutions for me to achieve. I eat so much more than my body actually needs. I eat way too many snacks and my meals are bigger than they need to be. I am going to make my portions a little bit smaller each week until I am happy with the sizes. I need to try to eat slower for my mind to realise that I am full up.

5. WORKOUT AT LEAST 3 TIMES A WEEK

I usually go to the gym once a week but I am going to make sure that I get some kind of workout in at least 3 times every week. I feel like this will help me get more toned and motivated to eat healthier.

MY FITNESS IDOL

I personally love the Victoria's Secret Angels figures. Obviously it is unrealistic to believe that my body will one day look like theirs but they definately motivate me to become healthier. One in particular is Bella Hadid. She is always working out and her figure is to die for! Here are a few photos which motivate me even more to workout:

So these are my fitness goals for 2017. I am hoping to eat cleaner and work out more to achieve them and I am excited to see results.
