Interview with Louise | Hello Teddy

Hello everyone!

I'm back with an interview with the gorgeous Louise from Hello Teddy. I recently came across her blog and instantly fell in love with it, from the layout to the content it's definately one of my favourite blogs at the moment. She is a fashion and beauty blogger and her posts are absolutely flawless! So I decided that I would email her and ask to do a blog interview with her and she was up for it so I hope you enjoy the interview and hopefully check out her blog!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Louise, I am 22 and I write a beauty and fashion blog over at www.helloteddy.co.uk!

What inspired you to start your blog?

I started my blog in 2011 as a way to discuss nail varnish with people who wanted to listen, rather than with my friends and family who couldn't care less! At the time it was just an outlet to ramble about little thoughts and mention things I had bought recently and I had no idea I would still be doing it 5 years later. I fell out of love with my blog for about a year or so but late last year I realised how much I missed it and now I love it even more than I did when I first started!

What are your favourite social media accounts to promote your blog?

I use Twitter and Facebook the most to promote my blog with. I have always said that if you aren't willing to promote your own blog then no-one else will! I don't mean shove it down people's throats but just by scheduling a few tweets here and there and sharing your new posts on blogging groups on Facebook really helps.

Do you have a favourite app at the moment?

My favourite app at the moment is probably Snapchat. I must spend about an hour of my day watching everyone's Snapchat stories! I love it because it is just like Youtube but even more instant.

What do you use to shoot your photos for your blog?

I use an Olympus Pen E-PL7 to take my photos with, although that was only until late last year. Before that I used to use an old hand-me-down little Sony digital camera which, as good as it was, comparing the photos I take now to the photos I took two years ago there is a massive difference in quality. Although I do believe an iPhone camera is just as good!

What are your top 3 essentials for summer?

My top three summer essentials this year is the Kylie Lip Kit in Candy K as it lasts all day long and is a really pretty lip shade, the Nivea Essentials Express Hydration Primer which really moisturises the face whilst prepping it for make-up and my phone - there is no point in having fun if you aren't showing it on Instagram!

If you could only have one makeup product for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

If I could only have one make-up product for the rest of my life it would definitely be the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. It was the first MAC product I ever purchased and I am still in love with it, all these years later. I use it as a primer for eyeshadows and it literally makes any eyeshadow last all day long and the little pot lasts for years. I could not live without it!

What is your favourite fashion piece this month?

My favourite fashion piece this month is bardot tops. I love the whole off-the-shoulder thing and I think they are just really easy to wear.

Where would your ideal destination be?

My ideal destination is most definitely the Maldives. I could not think of a more perfect, idyllic destination. The white sand and crystal blue sea is what I dream about when I am sat at work all day!

What are your goals for this year?

My main goal for this year is to change career. I am quite lucky in that I don't hate my job, nor do I dread going in each day but I am aware that I am only 22 and that there is more to life than this. It would be very easy just to stay there for the rest of my life but I really don't want to get comfortable in a job and still be there in 50 years time.

Who are your favourite three bloggers at the moment?

My current favourite three bloggers are Victoria from Inthefrow.com, Lydia from Lydiaelisemillen.com and Sarah from Thatpommiegirl.com. They are all so different in personalities and style but they still manage to be really relatable and so likeable! I am very envious, ha ha.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I have no idea where I see myself in 5 years time! Hopefully in a job I love or doing something which makes me happy. Like this! Imagine turning your hobby into your career? That would be pretty cool!

I hope you enjoyed reading this and getting to know Louise a little more. I'm sure that almost all of you will love her blog so make sure to have a look at www.helloteddy.co.uk

Thanks Louise for answering these questions!
