WHAT I EAT IN A DAY | JULY

Today I'm going to be sharing my favourite recipes with you and showing you more or less what I eat within a day. All the following recipes have been created myself and are suited to my preferences. I hope that this post can inspire some of you to recreate these delicious meals as they are a few of my favourite recipes.

Pre-Workout Drink

Myprotein Shake

These are protein shakes which you make by purchasing a bag of whey protein powder from any store or brand, I personally prefer Myprotein as they are a trusted and popular brand which I have been using for a long time. You can purchase them in all different sizes and different types. I use the Strength and Muscle one and I have 2 scoops before I go to the gym or to workout.

To make these, you simply add as many scoops as you want to a blender, add water and blend or shake it then drink it about 30 mins before you workout.

Click here to go to the Myprotein website.

Breakfast

Scrambled Eggs with Black Pepper

Ingredients
2 or 3 scrambled eggs
A splash of semi skimmed milk
A pinch of black pepper
  1. Make scrambled eggs click here for details. (If you want a healthier recipe then follow the website but leave out all ingredients apart from milk and eggs.
  2. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper over it to give extra flavour.

Lunch

Tuna and Kale Salad

Tuna

Empty from a can and drain excess oil. Chop into small pieces and put onto one section of the plate.

Kale and Salad

Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cups of Kale
Half a ripe avocado
5-10 Strawberries
Lemon

  1. Wash Kale under clean cold water
  2. Put boiling water into a saucepan and put the kale into a steamer above (This way it keeps all the natural nutrients in without getting them all out by cooking it directly into hot water) and steam for 10 - 12 minutes.
  3. Cut the avocado into chunks and mix into strawberries cut into half.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice over the kale for a better taste!
Protein Milkshake

If I get hungry between lunch and dinner I will be sure to get myself a protein shake. I went shopping today so I bought a few from super drug. This should keep me going until dinner.

Dinner

Salad, Veggie Burger and Pasta

Ingredients
1 Veggie Burger
1 Slice of melon
1/2 Avocado
5 Grapes
1 Large tomato
5 Strawberries
1/2 a cup of Kale
1/2 a cup of Pasta
  1. Cook the veggie burger for as long as applicable (all recipes are different)
  2. Put half a cup of pasta into boiling water and cook for approximately 10 minutes
  3. For the kale recipe follow the recipe above under 'Lunch'
  4. Make the salad, you could use different fruits if you don't fancy what I have used
Desert

No fat Greek yogurt

Simply purchase Greek Yogurt from your local shop or supermarket and empty as much as you want into a bowl.

I hope you enjoyed reading and learning about new recipes. Remember that this is what I like and lots of you won't even be interested in eating healthy. All of the above are my preferences and can easily be altered to suit your preferences.

Lots of love,

Emily X

  1. I may well try your tuna and kale salad. My personal trainer told me to get rid of low fat stuff, it was hard but apparently they replace the fat with sugar so I'm now eating full fat cottage cheese and yoghurt
