THE BEAUTY BLOGGER TAG

Hello! As my most recent post was my first ever blog post, I thought that I would do a beauty tag that I saw on Chloe's Way Blog, which is one of my favourite blogs and inspired me to start my own. I love reading other people's tags so I thought I would choose this one as it is not too personal and you will get to know a bit about me.

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?

I had a blog in 2015 which I updated twice a week for quite a few months but in December I deleted it because I wasn't  enjoying doing it anymore. However, after about five months I realised that I actually missed blogging so earlier this month I created this blog.

Who's blog did you fall in love with first?

The first blog I ever read was Zoella's, a famous blogger who lives in the UK. I love her blog posts as she's completely honest and I can relate to lots of her posts.

What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?

Probably the Urban Decay Powder as at the time I bought it there was a lot of hype about it. However, for an expensive brand, I did not find that it benefited my skin any better than Maybelline which is a lot cheaper and is better for my complexion.

What are you five favourite things about blogging and being a Beauty Blogger?
  1. I find that blogging is a hobby for me and I enjoy writing the posts and sharing them online and I don't feel as if it's something that I make myself do.
  2. Other Bloggers, you can interact and talk to new people and make new friends by commenting on someone else's blog or by someone else commenting on yours.
  3. I feel like I can write about almost anything on here and that people enjoy reading what I write - hopefully!
  4. Once you start a blog, you realise how many opportunity's come along with it. Like making new friends, could potentially lead you in a direction towards your future job and it brings lots of amazing opportunitys along with it.
  5. Reading other people's blogs and commenting on them would have to be one of my favourite things to do with blogging. I enjoy reading others posts and getting inspiration for my own. I learn new fashion tips, beauty tips and health tips by reading blogs which inspire me to try new things and sometimes even for a blog post!
What have you learnt from being a beauty blogger?

Obviously, I have only wrote 2 blog posts on this blog so far so I don't have the most experience compared to most bloggers but I am already learning so much from becoming a blogger. I have learnt that everyone has the own opinions on almost everything and I have also realised that this has become my new hobby and something to do when i'm free.

Have you changed anything since becoming a beauty blogger?

Not at all! Literally all that has changed is that I have something to enjoy when i'm not busy and instead of sitting around on social media endlessly all day I actually can just write up a blog post instead which is a lot more time consuming and fun.

What advice would you give a beauty blogger just starting out?

Don't worry about the amount of views that you get, it doesn't matter and if you are blogging to get views then remember they aren't going to come overnight. I have only started this blog so this question is kind of tricky to answer but all that you need to do to become a successful blogger is to make sure you stay committed to blogging and that you are always yourself and not copying anyone else.

What are your top 5 makeup brands?

  1. Maybelline would definitely have to be number one for me as half of my makeup is from their and I find that their makeup quality is so good for the price and the quality of it is as good as a more expensive brand.
  2. Urban Decay is a more expensive brand but they have an amazing range of products which are all of a super good quality.
  3. MAC is obviously every girls favourite makeup brand as it's amazing quality and the makeup lasts for ages, especially powders.
  4. Benefit have a smaller range of makeup but the packaging is so cute and who can resist buying something with cute packaging aye!
  5. My final favourite makeup brand would be Soap and Glory, just because the appearance of it is beautiful and it stays on for a long time.
Recommend your top 5 beauty products...
  1. Maybelline Better Skin Foundation: This foundation has literally been a life saver for me! As i'm only in my teens, I don't have a job so I rely 100% on parents money so I can't always aford pot after pot of MAC foundation. I find that this foundation lasts all day and doesn't have a negative effect on my skin - which is super sensitive sometimes!
  2. Victoria's Secret black and silver makeup bag - I'm not sure if this counts but it has to be on my list as I take it to school every day and it's super gorgeous and cute.
  3. Brow Kit Shape and Define by Barry M - This can be found in all highstreet shops and is really good for defining your brows, it also comes with tweezers and a little brush to help keep your eyebrows on fleeeek!
  4. EOS lipbalms - Who doesn't own one of these! There literally every girls must haves and are really easy to carry around with you as they are tiny and really cute.(I sware i've used the word cute far too much today!)
  5. Real Technique foundation brush - It's really soft on the skin and blends in your foundation really well, this has to be one of my most used products in my beauty collection.
Thank you for reading my beauty blogger tag, I hope you enjoyed reading this and hopefully you know a little more about me after reading this. I'd love to see your beauty tags so please leave a comment and your blog link beneath and I will comment on as many as I can.
